Rhetoric Knowledge:
- For each assignment in this course, I focused on a purpose to ensure that there was meaning behind each assignment
- I responded to the needs of different audiences by attempting to make my topics universal and applicable to the majority of audiences
- I used several conventions of format and structure as each assignment called for something different
Critical Thinking, Reading, and Writing:
- I used both reading and writing for inquiry, learning, thinking, and communicating when we were required to read an article, write a blog on it, and discuss it in class
- I especially understood that a writing assignment is a series of tasks when creating the ethnography movie
- I integrated my ideas with the ideas of others when breaking up into small groups in class to discuss the articles we had read
Processes:
- I understood the importance of multiple drafts when creating the pages for my hyperessays
- I was better able to understand the collaborative aspects of writing processes when I received feedback from my professor about my work
- Aside from continuously critiquing my own work, I was also able to critique my peers' work in class when breaking up into small groups and when watching everyone's ethnography movies in class
Knowledge of Conventions:
- The utilization of our own website in this course really allowed me to practice appropriate means of documenting my work
- Through revision, I was able to correct any mistakes I had made with grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Composing in Electronic Environments:
- Because of the nature of this course, I was very much able to take advantage of electronics by using a computer for drafting, reviewing, revising, and editing all of my assignments
- For both the hyperessays and the ethnography movie, I used the internet as a source for gathering research on my topics
